Can't tell you how many times I've seen boosted tank players jump straight into content with zero clue how to hold threat.
If you do boost a job at least spend a bit of time learning it/reading up on it before jumping straight into content with it. ARR though can be quite a slog because the post 2.0-2.55 (to get to Heavensward) is 100 quests and a good chunk of tedium. I think missing the Heavensward story is a bit of a disservice with how good it is. Or if you do skip at least only skip to Heavensward. However I think you should do the story (quest has a flame symbol on it). Imo it's your money so if you want to go for it. Total cost if you wanted to start at Stormblood is £37. However you need to buy a level boost on top of it of course. The first one being a bit cheaper of course. One that skips you to Heavensward and the other starts you at Stormblood. If you buy a story skip, does it skip you to the newest xpack or will it start me at the first xpack (Heavensward?).There are 2 story skips. Thinking of just doing the level and story skip to start over fresh on new content (or newer content).

Quest logs full of shit to do but just getting back into it after 3 or so years if not more is bleh lol. Have no idea where to go or what to do now lol. I resubed a few days ago with my toon at like 29.
